Teak tree with Elephant
This piece was created out of Teak using a bandsaw. Teak comes from South and South East Asia. Trees are stripped of their bark & left standing to dry on the stump before Elephants drag the massive logs to rivers to await monsoon rains. This process can take up to 5 yrs. Teak trees grow up to 150' and 2' in dia.
